Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Dubai Metro Blue Line today, marking a milestone in the expansion of the city’s public transportation network.
The Blue Line will span 30 kilometres and comprise 14 stations across nine districts.
The new line forms part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and will serve areas projected to house over one million residents.
