Jonathan Anderson made his much-anticipated debut at Dior Men with a show that blended classic style with bold new ideas. He called it a “recoding” of the brand: a way to honour Dior’s history while bringing in his own fresh, preppy edge.
The show opened with a twist on the iconic Bar jacket in green tweed, paired with oversized cargo shorts that used 16 yards of fabric. The mix of structure and volume set the tone: formal meets casual, old meets new.
Anderson added evening shirts worn with jeans, tailcoats over bare chests, and cropped tuxedo jackets. The collection nodded to English aristocracy, but with playful details like socks and sandals, and ties that looked like neck braces.
Big names filled the front row: Rihanna, Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, Daniel Craig, Bassel Khayat showing just how much buzz this show had.
The setting was inspired by a museum, with paintings by Jean Siméon Chardin, reflecting the quiet power of everyday elegance.
Anderson’s Dior debut proved one thing: rewriting the rules can still look timeless.
