Who will be the next James Bond?

James Bond makers have been busy hunting for a new actor to take over the role following Daniel Craig’s departure. With just days to go before the official announcement, the internet is buzzing with guesses, debates, and hot takes. Four years after Craig’s iconic final bow, the question remains: who will step into the legendary tuxedo?

Amazon MGM Studios recently revealed that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is penning the next Bond film, directed by Denis Villeneuve – a duo promising a fresh take on the secret agent. Meanwhile, the rumour mill is in overdrive, tossing around names from established stars to rising talent.

On social media, the most mentioned contenders include Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland, Harris Dickinson, and more.

    Tom Holland

Could the friendly Spider-Man swing into Bond’s shoes? Holland is game – he’s even pitched an origin story to Sony. With his British charm and proven action skills, he’s a serious contender.

    Jacob Elordi

From teen heartthrob to leading man, Elordi has shed his Kissing Booth days with roles like Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla. With Euphoria on pause, he’s perfectly poised for the spotlight.

    Harris Dickinson

Known for The King’s Man, Dickinson has the “spy chops” for 007. However, his commitment to portraying John Lennon in four upcoming films slated through 2028, the same year as the next Bond, could prove a hurdle.

    Theo James

His role in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen felt like a Bond audition. With grit, style, and swagger, James could carry 007 into a new era.

    Paul Mescal

From Normal People to Oscar nominee for Aftersun, Mescal’s quiet intensity and action-ready frame make him a natural fit. With a Gladiator sequel ahead, he’s ready for bigger stakes.

    Jonathan Bailey

A global heartthrob thanks to Bridgerton and Wicked, Bailey’s charm and screen presence could make for a compelling Bond.

    Timothée Chalamet

The Dune star has both dramatic range and blockbuster appeal. Having worked with Villeneuve before, he could be the dark horse in this race.

Our dream pick: an Arab James Bond

If it were up to us, we’d love to see an Arab actor step into the role.

    Dhafer L’Abidine

    Dhafer L’Abidine

The Tunisian actor brings life experience, style, and athleticism. A former professional footballer, his mature presence would suit a Bond as sharp in a tux as in a rooftop chase.

    Bassel Khaiat

A fixture of Arab TV, Khaiat blends charm and menace effortlessly. If not Bond, he’d make a perfect villain to challenge 007.
