Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso Stories, the immersive pop-up experience, is here and running during Dubai Design Week from 4 to 16 November 2025 at Dubai Design District.
The exhibition traces nine decades of the Reverso’s evolution from its Art Deco origins in the 1930s to contemporary expressions of high watchmaking, presented through a sequence of thematic chapters: Story of an Icon, Story of Style & Design, Story of Innovation, and Story of Craftsmanship. Visitors can explore rare archival pieces alongside modern interpretations, including the Reverso Hybris Mechanica Calibre 185 Quadriptyque, the first wristwatch with four functioning faces and 11 complications.

Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179
First introduced in 2023, the Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179 embodies Jaeger-LeCoultre’s philosophy of uniting technical mastery with design precision. For 2025, the Maison presents a new version featuring black hand-lacquered dials on both sides within an 18K pink gold case, limited to ten pieces.
The model builds on the brand’s innovation of the 1990s, when Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the Duoface movement, patented in 1994, displaying two time zones on separate dials. The Calibre 179 adds the fourth evolution of the Gyrotourbillon, a multi-axis mechanism developed specifically for the Reverso. Despite its 382 components, the watch maintains a slim 13.63 mm profile.
Echoing the monochromatic style of the Art Deco period, the black and grey tones contrast against the pink gold bridges and decorative plates. The double-sided movement reveals two distinct identities, completed by an adjustable folding buckle that allows micro-adjustments to 0.5 mm.
Made of Makers™ Collaborations
The Dubai edition of Reverso Stories also features three new collaborations under Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Made of Makers™ initiative, which invites artists and designers from outside the world of watchmaking to reinterpret the Maison’s values of craftsmanship and design.
- Olivecoat, a webcomic designer, presents a visual narrative inspired by the Reverso’s archives, reimagining its story through contemporary digital storytelling. Visitors can engage with her work through interactive displays.

- Abdalla Almulla, an award-winning Emirati architect, contributes 30 Sunsets, an oak installation exploring the fluidity of time through scaled geometric forms and gradients inspired by the Golden Ratio, a recurring principle in both architecture and the Reverso’s design.

- Nina Métayer, the celebrated French pâtissière, translates the same proportion into a culinary interpretation at the 1931 Café, blending pastry and design in tribute to the Reverso’s aesthetic harmony.

Reverso Stories is open to the public and free of charge from 4–16 November 2025 in Dubai Design District. Visitors can register online.
