    Swiss watchmaker Rolex is providing a glimpse into the trials and tribulations of its extensive, multidisciplinary representative roster.

    As the brand prepares for the New Year, it is looking back fondly on 2025 through new digital content. Throughout 2025, the horology label began rolling out its first-ever documentary series that serves as a candid outlet for its Testimonees, with 23 talents taking part in the project so far, and more planned for the coming weeks and months.

    On the record
    Titled “Rolex Presents,” the short films see influential individuals reflect on their lives and careers.

    Each episode runs between seven and 15 minutes in length, with the talents taking viewers through their day-to-day lives, showcasing their dedication to their respective crafts while also charting the path they took to achieve success, or as Rolex describes it, reaching “for the crown.”

    “Rolex Presents” looks back on 2025

    Among the first participants are Canadian singer-songwriter Michael Bublé, tennis players Carlos Alcaraz and Coco Gauff, Mexican photographer Cristina Mittermeier, French neuroscientist Grégoire Courtine and American golfer Tiger Woods, among many others, including international conservation organizations.

    Mr. Bublé’s episode sees the global music star preparing for a performance at The Sandringham Estate in England while also speaking on his long road to reaching – and topping – the Billboard charts. He dishes on the challenges life has given him and how he was able to adapt and overcome; the feature closes with a look at his show at the historic venue, where he performed for an audience of more than 30,000 fans.

    Meanwhile, Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner’s documentary shows the multi-time Grand Slam winner dealing with the pressures of doping allegations during the 2024 U.S. Open, where he competed, won the title and was eventually cleared of all fault and potential charges. In speaking on the controversy, he also gives a glimpse into his personal life and what has driven his competitive spirit on the court throughout his life.

    Rolex presents “The Return”

    Other entries follow a similar format, displaying tastemakers and leaders in various fields giving their firsthand accounts of some of the toughest moments of their lives and how they persevere to reach the finish line.

    To close 2025, the watchmaker released a compilation video featuring clips from many episodes of the series; the short also reveals that Rolex Presents will continue into 2026. The series is currently available to stream on the brand’s website and YouTube channel.

    Seasonal delights
    Rolex rang in the new calendar by sponsoring the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Concert, which saw one of its documentary subjects take command of the stage.

    Canadian conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin served as the maestro of the evening for the first time in his accomplished career; the broadcast was watched live by 50 million viewers around the world, spanning 150 countries. The multi-time Grammy winner is renowned for his work with esteemed orchestras around the world, as well as his role as music director for the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

    “It is an immense honor for me to join my friends of the Vienna Philharmonic and take part in the unique and world-renowned tradition of the New Year’s Concert,” said Mr. Nézet-Séguin, in a statement.

    “As a musician, and as a human being, my passion is to build a bridge from the traditional to the contemporary, to broaden the message of classical music,” he said. “This programme reflects that vision.”

    With the Rolex Presents series, the horology label seeks to cross-promote its various cultural and artistic initiatives with the oftentimes recognizable faces of talents involved in various fields. Mr. Nézet-Séguin and Mr. Bublé represent the company’s Perpetual Arts program (see story), while Mr. Sinner and Ms. Gauff, among other athletes, front the maison’s wide-ranging involvement with the world of professional sports (see story) – other appearances cement the brand’s commitment to its Perpetual Planet conservation efforts.

    As the Swiss house progresses into the New Year, it will continue to uplift the work of professionals across many fields, either through documentary features or activations around the globe.
