Sharjah Airport has confirmed it is fully prepared for increased passenger volumes during the winter holiday season, following the rollout of a series of operational measures aimed at improving passenger flow and maintaining service quality.
Travellers have been advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure and to make use of digital and fast-track services to reduce processing times. Passengers flying with Air Arabia were encouraged to utilise the city check-in service, which allows travellers to complete check-in procedures in advance and proceed directly to passport control upon arrival at the airport.
Passenger facilitation
A range of passenger facilitation services is currently available, including self-check-in kiosks, baggage drop counters, smart gates, fast-track lanes and the Hala service. In addition, Air Arabia and Fly Jinnah passengers can access the newly introduced home check-in service, further streamlining the travel experience.

To enhance comfort during peak periods, Sharjah Airport has also opened the Al Diyafah Lounge at the main entrance of the departures area, offering additional hospitality services for travellers. Staffing levels across key operational areas have been increased to support faster processing for both departing and arriving passengers.
The airport said the measures form part of its ongoing efforts to boost operational efficiency and ensure a smooth and seamless travel experience throughout the busy winter season.
