For years, Tally Solutions stood as a trusted name for entrepreneurs seeking simplicity in managing their businesses.
As digital transformation accelerates across the Middle East, the company has evolved from being an accounting mainstay to a driver of connected compliance and cloud innovation.
Here, Vikas Panchal, GM of Tally Solutions, discusses how the brand’s legacy of simplicity continues to shape its latest offerings, from e-invoicing and e-VAT to cloud-based accessibility.
In this conversation, he explains how Tally’s innovations are helping MSMEs adapt to evolving regulatory demands, balance flexibility with data privacy, and align with the UAE’s vision for a digital, knowledge-driven economy — while staying true to the company’s long-held philosophy: keeping business management effortless and human-centered.
Tally has long stood for simplicity in business management. At GITEX 2025, you’re showcasing solutions around e-invoicing, e-VAT, and cloud access. How do these innovations make digitisation simpler for MSMEs that often find compliance a complex burden?
At Tally, simplicity has always been at the heart of innovation. Our goal is to make technology work quietly in the background so business owners can focus on what truly matters — running and growing their business.
With solutions like e-invoicing, e-VAT, and secure cloud access, we’re helping MSMEs navigate an increasingly digital and compliance-driven environment with confidence. Our connected e-Invoicing and e-VAT capabilities automate much of the process, ensuring accuracy and compliance without additional effort. And with TallyPrime on Cloud Access, entrepreneurs can access their data securely from anywhere, collaborate effortlessly, and stay compliant in real time.
Through these innovations, we’re reinforcing what Tally has always stood for, making business simple, compliant, and future-ready, no matter how complex the landscape becomes.
With e-invoicing already live in Saudi Arabia and the UAE rollout on the horizon, how is Tally ensuring businesses transition smoothly while staying fully compliant with evolving FTA and ZATCA requirements?
Tally has always believed that compliance and simplicity can go hand in hand. We’re proud to align closely with the ZATCA and FTA’s digital transformation agendas, supporting their vision to create transparent, efficient, and future-ready business ecosystems.
Our e-invoicing capabilities are designed to make compliance effortless for businesses — automating every step from invoice generation to secure data reporting, all within a single, intuitive platform. With continuous updates aligned to local regulations, we ensure that businesses remain fully compliant while focusing on what they do best — running and growing their operations.
At GITEX Global, we showcased how Tally is not just keeping pace with regulatory evolution but actively enabling a simpler, more connected compliance journey for businesses across the region.
Tally’s move to enable cloud access backed by UAE-based servers signals a major shift in how businesses operate. How do you balance flexibility and convenience with the region’s strict data privacy regulations?
With TallyPrime Cloud Access, our goal is to give businesses the best of both worlds — the freedom to work from anywhere, and the confidence that their data is safe, private, and locally hosted. By leveraging UAE-based servers, we ensure that all business data stays within the country, in full alignment with regional data privacy and residency regulations.
This approach reflects our commitment to responsible innovation — combining flexibility and performance with the trust, control, and compliance that MSMEs expect. For us, cloud adoption isn’t just about remote access; it’s about helping businesses grow confidently in a secure and regulation-ready environment.
You often say data should simplify, not complicate, business. In an era of AI and data monetisation, how does Tally maintain its stance on user data ownership and privacy?
We’ve always believed that data should serve the business owner — not the other way around. We never monetise customer data, and users retain complete ownership and control of their information.
Every innovation we build is rooted in responsible data practices, ensuring that privacy, security, and transparency are never compromised. Our focus is on helping entrepreneurs and finance professionals turn their financial data into meaningful insights that drive growth — without ever losing control of their data.
As technology evolves, our commitment remains unchanged: to simplify business management while upholding the highest standards of trust, privacy, and integrity.
The UAE is pushing hard toward a knowledge-based digital economy. How does Tally’s ecosystem of tools and partners contribute to that vision, especially in enabling smaller businesses to scale responsibly?
The UAE’s vision for a knowledge-based, digital economy strongly resonates with Tally’s purpose. We believe that when small and medium businesses thrive, the entire economy benefits. Through our ecosystem of trusted partners and intuitive tools, we’re enabling MSMEs to adopt technology confidently, stay compliant, and scale sustainably.
Our focus is on simplifying digitisation — ensuring that as businesses embrace innovation, they do so easily, securely, and in alignment with the UAE’s broader digital transformation goals.
Tally has a strong reputation for being intuitive. How do you continue evolving your platform while keeping it easy enough for first-time digital adopters to feel confident using it?
Simplicity has always been at the heart of Tally. As we evolve, we ensure that every innovation—whether around automation, compliance, or analytics—remains intuitive and effortless to use. Our design philosophy is built on deep customer understanding, ensuring that even first-time digital adopters feel confident, in control, and truly empowered. For us, technology should adapt to people, not the other way around.
With over 70,000 businesses using Tally across MENA and local accreditations, what are your growth plans?
With over 70,000 businesses already using Tally across the Middle East, we’re proud to have built a strong foundation of trust and simplicity in the region. The UAE remains a key hub for us, where we continue to enable thousands of MSMEs to digitise with confidence. We’re also deepening our presence in Saudi Arabia, supporting businesses through our ZATCA-accredited e-Invoicing solutions, and actively expanding into new GCC markets.
Our vision is to assist even more SMEs across the region on their digital transformation journey — empowering them to stay compliant, grow sustainably, and contribute meaningfully to their national economies. With every step, we remain committed to making business simpler, smarter, and more connected for the entire GCC.
