The Maserati MC12 Stradale has made history. At the prestigious Monterey Jet Center Auction by Broad Arrow, a 2005 MC12 Stradale sold for a record-breaking $5.2 million.

Only 50 examples of the MC12 Stradale were ever built: 25 in 2004 and 25 in 2005. This rarity, combined with its performance, makes it one of the most coveted collector cars in the world.
The car runs on a V12 engine with 630 horsepower and a displacement of 5988 cc. Its striking white-and-blue paintwork pays tribute to the legendary Maserati Birdcage Type 61 from the 1960s. Even 20 years after its debut, the MC12 continues to capture the imagination of enthusiasts.

Additionally, This sale set a new benchmark, beating the previous auction record for the model by 37 percent. It is now officially the most expensive modern Maserati ever sold.
Formerly, Maserati designed the MC12 Stradale as a road-legal version of the MC12 GT1, which dominated the FIA GT Championship from 2004 to 2010. The race car won 14 titles, including Constructors’, Drivers’, and Team Championships, plus three victories at the 24 Hours of Spa.
Above all, that racing pedigree has built the legend of the MC12. Today, the record-breaking auction result confirms its timeless status and its perfect blend of heritage, rarity, and performance.
